The broad delta opens onto the beautiful 5 km sandbank separating the crystal clear shallow waters of the Mediterranean from the idyllic labyrinth of reed beds and water ways. The reed beds are 2.5 -3m high and as well as preventing odours, erosion and pollution, are home to a variety of wildlife species including stripe neck terrapins and turtles, fresh water fish and the spectacularly coloured kingfishers.At the boat end of Iztuzu beach you will find a few sun beds and shades, a small bar offering light snacks and cold drinks and a local lady rolling traditional pancakes. At the dolmus end, similar amenities are available as well as the welcoming shelter of pine trees.
